David Hockney

Here's my David Hockney picture.
I know that it doesn't seem like much, but I did use a lot of pictures....they're just underneath one another and poking out on different areas.
My camera is a point and shoot camera, so this was kind of a hard assignment to get good photos. I chose a field and a road for my subject because the sun was shining brightly and all of the colors seem to come together. Ever since I've started taking this class, I've seen beauty in a lot more things!

I had a lot of fun with this. Yes, this is my sister if that's what you're wondering. I might do some more of these. If you know any other cool tutorials, please let me know! I'd like to try different things! :)

Black and White

Okay, here are some black and white photos. They do take some creativity, and I know that they aren't the best, but I think they're interesting. :)




Now, these photos actually challenged me. I couldn't even think of anything to do black and white with, and I'm sure that some of these photos would look better with color. The only one which I think the black and white enhances, is the clock one. I really like that one! :)

Settings are Quite Helpful

Landscape:
The reason why I thought that this was the best setting for this particular photo, was because I wanted to show a small section of the baseball park as well as the mountains behind. I think that it worked out quite well.



Backlight:
I know from this picture, that it didn't quite work. Probably since the light source was more above than behind. Oh well, it did make kind of a good picture though. :)


Close up:
I chose to do it on this young pine tree because of how the needles were. I don't know about you, but pine trees are very beautiful in my opinion, and it just seemed to fit the bill.


Text:
I used this setting with a music book. Yes, it is not actual words, but this setting let me take advantage and get more details on the paper.


Sports:
Yes, by this time my creative juices had run out. So, I took a picture of the quickly rotating ceiling fan. I do find the sports mode very helpful since I like to take pictures of younger siblings who won't stay still!

Photo Scavenger Hunt

2 different cars, 2 different people, 2 different flowers, 2 different trees, and 2 different buildings. All there, but in a random order for some reason. :)
